Obituary:
H. Keith Van Buskirk, 89, of Powell, OH passed away unexpectedly in his home Sunday, Aug.5, 2012. He was born March 14, 1923 in Galesburg. IL. He and his wife of 68 years Dorothy “Dodie” lived in the Worthington/Powell area for 53 years. He was a graduate of Evanston (IL) High School and attended Washington & Lee University (VA). He played baseball and basketball in college and was a frustrated Chicago Cubs and avid Ohio State fan. As an adult he played organized softball for 20 years and was a passionate golfer and bowler. He spent his career in the food services industry retiring from Abbott Foods in 1988. He was preceded in death by his son Peter, brothers-in-law Albert DeLapp, Milton Nielsen, and Joseph DeLapp. He is survived by his wife Dodie, his children Michael, Deedee Ralston, Nancy (Scott) Case, and Peggy (Peter). Grandchildren: Mark (Nicole), Matthew, Katherine Van Buskirk; Keith, Erik, Benjamin (Kelly) and Todd (Natalie) Van Buskirk; Brian (Rebecca), Andrew (Amy), and Patrick (Deanna) Ralston; Great Grandchildren Claire, Maya, Max Van Buskirk, and Parker Ralston. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. WEDNESDAY at the RUTHERFORD FUNERAL HOME AT POWELL, 450 W. Olentangy St. (Powell Rd./St. Rt. 750/1/4 mile east of Sawmill Pkwy) Powell, OH 43065. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. THURSDAY, AUGUST 9, 2012 at the CHAPEL AT RESURRECTION CEMETERY, 9571 N. High St., Lewis Center, OH 43035. The Reverend Michael B. Watson, Celebrant. Inurnment will follow the service. In lieu of flowers his family suggests contributions to the A.A.
