Obituary:
Robert A. Knox, 74, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother went home to be with the Lord Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Born November 29, 1937 in Martins Ferry, Ohio to the late William W. & Mary L. Knox. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Wilbur L. Knox, and sister, Marjorie L. Griffith. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Linda; sons, Alan L., Jphn P., & James P. Knox; daughter-in-law, Jackie M. Knox; grandchildren, John E.A. & Taylor N. Knox; brother, Richard L. Knox; sister, Sarah E. Fisher; nephews David W. (Robin) and Courtland Fisher; Rick L. & Kevin M. (Jennifer) Knox; nieces, Jennifer M. & Keirstyn, and many cousins. Robert retired from Sysco Foods of Philadelphia, and was a 1956 Graduate of Flushing High School. He also served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1957-1960, and was a Life Member of Amvets Post No. 102, Delaware, OH. Robert was a former member of Granite Corinthian Masonic Lodge F. & A.M. Wilmington, Delaware, and Neoacacia Lodge No. 595 F. & A.M. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held 7:00 p.m. Monday, July 30, 2012 at the RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High Street, Worthington, Ohio 43085 with Pastor Phil Williams officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
