Obituary:
Bonnie Slonaker, age 80, Born December 28, 1929, and was called to Heaven to be with the Lord on July 24, 2010. Preceded in death by husband, David L. Slonaker, Sr., of Columbus; parents, Clarence and Mary Starr of Columbus; daughter Diane Slonaker McBee of Columbus; brother, Danny Starr of Fulton, New York; and sister, Mary Williams of Lancaster. Bonnie is survived by son, David L. Slonaker, Jr. (Sally) of Howard; daughter, Bonnie Righter (Jerry) of Fredericktown; daughter, Debbie Watts (Larry) of Monroe, LA; daughter, Donna Slonaker-Brenning of Columbus; step-daughter, Carolyn Vantilburg (Eddie) of Columbus; brother, Roy Starr (Jackie) of Columbus; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition, Bonnie is survived by her loving companion of many years, John Borotkanics of Ellenton, FL. Bonnie and John enjoyed their retirement years together by traveling the world and visiting many beautiful countries. They visited many casinos throughout the country and Bonnie greatly enjoyed taking their money. Another one of her great enjoyments was Bingo at the community center where she lived in Ellenton, FL. Bonnie is a retired Supervisor from the United States Postal Service after a long and rewarding career. Her employees greatly admired her for her friendliness and compassion. During her younger life, Bonnie was great at fishing and hunting. The Slonaker family enjoyed many years of camping and fishing throughout the Midwest from here to Ely, MN. Bonnie was a devoted mother, wife and friend and will be greatly missed by everyone. Family will receive friends on Friday, August 6, 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High St., Worthington OH. Funeral Service will be Saturday, August 7, at 11:00 a.m. with family receiving friends one hour prior. Pastor Paul Cook will officiate.
