Obituary:
Donna Ruth Forrest went before us to be with Jesus our Lord God on Tuesday morning at 12:44a.m. on July 6th, 2010. Her family sorely misses her presence, smile and laughter. She was a caring and thoughtful wife to Scott for 30 years. Donna lived out being a mom to three lovely daughters, Rachel, Alexandra and Hannah in the fondest of glory with compassion and deep devoted love that never seemed to run dry. Two little boys, Zyler and Elijah have been gifted with the impartment of felt love demonstrated through everyday uneventful ways deposited in them by their grandmother, Donna. Donna loved Jesus and lived as best she could under His majestic forgiveness and Grace. She also drew joy and strength from extracurricular activities like gardening and physical exercise. Donna was born in Paola, Kansas in 1955. She is also survived by her parents James and Swann Bates, her two sisters Cynthia Steinberg and Pam Nuenke and her brother Jim Bates. Family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00pm. THURSDAY (TODAY) at the RUTHERFORD FUNERAL HOME AT POWELL, 450 West Olentangy St., Powell, Ohio 43065 (614)-792-1471. A Memorial Service to celebrate Donna’s life will be held 10:00am. FRIDAY, July 9, 2010 at the VINEYARD CHURCH OF COLUMBUS, 6000 Cooper Road, Westerville, Ohio 43081 with Pastor Cory Garris and Dr. Doug Nuenke, officiating. Burial will follow at Dublin Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a fund has been established to honor her and to benefit the educational needs of her daughters.
