Opal B. Taylor, age 88, of Columbus, passed away Monday, June 28, 2010 at Oakleaf Village Retirement Center. Opal retired from Xerox Corporation after 27 years of service, and she was a graduate of Louisa High School, Louisa, KY. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Taylor, Jr.; parents, Arlie L. & Carnalee (Castle) Borders; brothers, William A. Borders & Arlie J. Borders; & sister, Helen Wollenmann. Her survivors include her sisters, Pearl B. Churella & Jewel B. Tucker both of Venice, FL; brother, Earl (Rosemary) Borders of Lockbourne, OH; sisters, Carolyn B. (Bert) Mullins of Columbus, Evelyn Fannin of Chillicothe, OH & Kathryn B. (Douglas) Patton of Conway, SC; sisters-in-law, Anna Marie Borders of Marysville and Wilma Taylor of Westerville; special great niece and nephew, Madeline and Mason Miller, and numerous other nieces, nephews & friends. Opal was member of Karl Road Baptist Church and Triangle Chapter # 592 Order of the Eastern Star. A funeral service will be held 4:00 p.m. Saturday, July 3, 2010 at the RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High St., Worthington, OH 43085 with Dr. Glenn Perry officiating. Family & friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until service time, with an Eastern Star Service to be held at 3:00 p.m. A family graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at the Bellefonte Memorial Gardens, Flatwoods, KY.
