Obituary:
SPELLACY Daniel Robert Spellacy, age 49, went unexpectedly to be with our Lord Wednesday, June 16, 2010. A graduate of Worthington High School, Class of 1979. He was a member of the Cross Country team, track team and ski club. Dan attended Ohio University where he studied Marketing. Dan loved cooking and food preparation and worked at numerous restaurants pursuing his passion. He also enjoyed building and repairing computers and other electronics. A loving son, brother and uncle, Dan is survived by his mother, Mary G. Spellacy of Worthington; his father, Robert S. Spellacy of Laguna Vista, TX; his brother, Christopher P. (Carol) of Galena; his sister, Shari R. Aliff (Scott) of Dublin; and sister-in-law, Megan (Zettler) Spellacy of Upper Arlington; four nephews, Mathew, Kyle, Michael and Blake; four nieces, Amy, Sydney, Morgan and Shelby. He also leaves behind many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. Dan is preceded in death by his brother Captain David M. Spellacy, USMC (1991). Friends may call Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at St. John the Baptist Italian Catholic Church from 4-7 p.m. A funeral Mass will immediately follow calling hours. There will be a private family celebration of his life at Resurrection Cemetery at a future date. Arrangements by RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High St., Worthington, OH. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity in Dan's memory.
