Obituary:
Joseph J. Grebe, 48, of Powell, passed away on Sunday June 20, 2010 after a struggle with cancer. Graduate of Michigan State University and received a Masters from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business. Employed at Greif Inc. for 24 years and was currently Director of Product Technical and Regulatory Support. He was a member of the Institute of Packaging Professionals, was an Assistant Scout Master Boy Scouts of America Troup 843 was a member of the Fanwood Fire Dept. and Fanwood Rescue Squad, Fanwood, NJ and the St. Joan of Arc Men’s Club. He also represented Greif at the United Nations Worldwide Packaging Standards Committee meetings. Survived by wife of 18 years Mary; son John “Johnny” and many other relatives and friends. He was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 10700 Liberty Rd., Powell, OH 43065 where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am Thursday, June 24, 2010. The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 pm Wednesday at RUTHERFORD FUNERAL HOME AT POWELL, 450 West Olentangy St., (Powell Rd./St. Rt. 750/ ¼ mile east of Sawmill Pkwy.)Powell. OH 43065 (614-792-1471) Prayer Service will be held at 3 pm Wednesday. Burial at Resurrection Cemetery, Lewis Center, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joe’s memory to Kids’ n Kamp, 3440 Olentangy River Rd., Columbus, OH 43202. They support children and families touched by childhood cancer.
