Obituary:
Don Walter Keller, age 82, of Westpoint North, Galloway, OH, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, June 14, 2010. Don was born September 7, 1927 in Buffalo, NY and received his degree from Buffalo University where he was a member of the Alpha Kappa Psi Fraternity for life. Don also was a lifetime member and exalted ruler for the Elks Lodge No. 1973, Hamburg, NY and Delaware, OH, Lodge No. 76. He was the son of the late Walter and Adeline Keller of Buffalo, NY. Don was an employee of Ashland, Inc., Dublin, OH for 19 years, where he met his wife Doris and was a saint of God since February 5, 1996. He was a kind, gentle, giving man and knew no enemies. Golf was a true passion as well as love for his two cats, Socks and Suki. He also enjoyed volunteering for the American Red Cross at the Ashland, Inc., location in Dublin every two months. Watching every Ohio State Buckeye Game with his step children was a real pleasure for him. He enjoyed football, basketball and other sports on T.V. and was an avid reader of books. Don is survived by his wife of 29 years, Doris M.; his ex-wife, Jacquelyn N. Keller; Daughter, Lisa Dru Gehring; step-children, Rhonda Scott; Michael (Burlene), Timothy (Doris), Jerry (Melissa) Albaugh and James Scott, his son-in-law whom he always considered his son; grandchildren, Heidi Gehring and Alexis, Derik Scott and Rachael, Lorna, Mikayla, Brandon, Jerry II, Jeremy, Justin, Vanessa, Chaz and Lydia Albaugh and eight great grandchildren. The family would like to thank the Trauma Staff and ICU Staff at Grant Medical Center for all their wonderful care, support and love. Don requested that there be no Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM on Friday, June 18, 2010 at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High Street, Worthington, OH 43085, 614-885-4006.
