Obituary:
CURRAN Joseph Edward Curran, age 80, passed into the arms of the Lord on Tuesday, May 25, 2010, surrounded by his loving family. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Born November 25, 1929 in New York City, he was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a long-time member of St. Peter Parish where he served on Parish Council and was a charter member of the parish's Knights of Columbus. Survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Pat (Mannino) Curran; son, Andy (Chris) Curran; daughters, Patricia (Fred) Dengler, Nancy (Stratford) Shields; granddaughters, Carolina, Monica and Melinda Curran and Meredith Shields; as well as many loving family members. Preceded in death by parents Joseph and Helen (Andrews) Curran and sister Anne (Curran) McLaughlin. Family will receive friends at 9-10 a.m. Thursday, May 27 in the Gathering Space at St. Peter's Church, 6899 Smoky Row Road, Columbus, OH 43235. Mass of Christian Burial will follow immediately. Father Justin Reis presiding. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery, 9571 N. High St., Lewis Center. Arrangements by RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 614-885-4006.
