Dana (Costin) Hasen, age 77, of Powell, Ohio, died on Tuesday, May 18, 2010. Born April 15, 1933 in Lumberton, NC, she graduated from Columbus North High School, Class of 1951. She married John Hasen on January 18, 2008. Preceded in death by her father Daniel Costin, mother Dorothy (Sheppard) Costin, sister Flora (Flic) Marshall and step-father James Shoemaker, Dana was a very special fun-loving free-spirited individual and will be sorely missed by all that knew her. Dana was known as Wonderful Aunt Dana to all her family members. She is survived by her husband John “Jack” Hasen, nephews: David (Barbara Moffat) Marshall, of Nelson, BC; John (Angie Plummer) Marshall, of Columbus, OH; Robert Marshall, of Wilmette, IL; niece Barbara (Jon van Dommelen) Marshall, of Columbus; step-daughter Becky Hasen, of Belleville, MI; step-son Stirling (Kim) Hasen, of Durham, NC; special friends: Vel Tufto, Joyce Kirby and Chet Ward; and grand-nieces and grand-nephews: Brendan, Lorraine, Emma, Bryn, Max, Benjamin, Laura and Ella. Dana has made an anatomical gift to OSU. No funeral or memorial is scheduled, however a remembrance celebration for family and close friends is being planned for Memorial Day weekend.
