Obituary:
Carter Richard “Ricky” Frank Carter, age 63, born August 7 in Mt. Vernon, Ohio died in peace with his family by his side at Riverside Methodist Hospital, May 14. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves. He was preceded in death by his father Frank Carter. He leaves behind his loving mother Loyis Carter, older sister Sherrie Carter-North, and younger brother David Carter. Two sons, Rick Carter II and John David Carter and his daughter Chelsea Jipping, as well as, four grandchildren; Lex, Logan, Isabella, and Griffin Carter. “Ricky” played a major role in raising money for many charitable events, especially golf tournaments. He left this world a better place, never wavering in his loyalty to his many friends, never asking for anything in return, and never pretending to be someone he wasn’t. He was a great son, a wonderful brother, and a caring father. He will be remembered by the many he touched with his wisdom and kindness. His candle burned out long before his legend ever will. Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8PM on Monday, May 17, 2010 at the RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High St, Worthington, Oh 43085, where a funeral service will be held at 10AM on Tuesday.
