Obituary:
THOMAS ERIC LODGE, age 53 of Columbus, OH., Wednesday, April 28, 2010. Beloved husband of Joan (nee Filachek) for 30 years; loving father of John and Sarah. Mr. Lodge was preceded in death by his father Walter. He is survived by mother Lucy of Brecksville, OH; brother Scott (wife Pam) of Livonia, MI; brother Kenneth of Ft. Myers, FL; nephew Eric (wife Kerri) of Gilroy CA; niece Jennifer of Ft. Myers, FL; father-in-law Joseph Filachek; brother-in-law Jack Filachek (wife Deb); sisters-in-law Anna and Lori Filachek; cousins, colleagues, and friends. Mr. Lodge received his B.A., cum laude, in Political Science from The Ohio State University in 1978 and his J.D., Order of the Coif, from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 1981. Mr. Lodge had a distinguished thirty year legal career at Thompson Hine, LLP. He was a Partner and leader of the firm’s Telecommunications Practice Group. He was a member of the Ohio State and Columbus Bar Associations, as well as the Federal Communications Bar Association. Mr. Lodge was named to The Best Lawyers in America. He was an active participant in and advocate for the Colon Cancer Alliance. Memorial Service 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 21, 2010 at Worthington United Methodist Church, 600 High Street, Worthington, Ohio 43085.
