SPAGNA
Vincent Anthony Spagna MD, Esquire, 61, of Dublin, peacefully went
to be with our Lord Monday, April 26, 2010. Born in Brooklyn, NY, June 4,
1948 to Dr. Angelo and Ann Spagna who predeceased him. He graduated
from Jacksonville University with a B.A. in marine biology. He
completed medical school at New York Medical College. While completing
his residency, internship, and fellowship, he earned his Master’s
Degree in Medical Microbiology from the Ohio State University. He
graduated from Capital Law School Magna Cum Laude. He has been
published numerous times in various professional journals. He was
granted a patent for his co-invention of a Litmus Test for disease
detection. He was a devout member of St. Brigid of Kildare Church,
Dublin, Ohio. Vincent was a loving husband, father and friend. His
greatest joy in life was spending time with his family. Vincent is
survived by his wife of 30 years, Gayle, and children Richard, Cara and
Ellyn, mother-in-law Stella Grega, and many more relatives and
friends. Family will receive friends 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Wednesday, May 5, 2010 in
Hendrick’s Hall Chapel at ST. BRIGID OF KILDARE CATHOLIC CHURCH,
7179 Avery Road, Dublin, OH 43017 where Mass of Christian Burial will
be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. following the receiving of friends. Msgr. Joseph M. Hendricks, Celebrant. In lieu of flowers donations in Vincent’s memory may be made to St. Brigid of Kildare Catholic Church, Mother Theresa’s Missionaries of Charity, or Race for the Cure (Gayle and CJ’s Team). Arrangements by the Rutherford Funeral Home at Powell,
